Piazza square
A slice of Venice one block from the port: mosaics, stained glass, a clock tower and live music that starts with the sunset.
The Piazza was built in 2009 but looks like it was always here: an enclosed Italian-style square paved with mosaic, ringed by stained glass and balconies. By day it's photos and coffee; by night, concerts — the stage in the middle runs almost every summer evening.
The restaurants on the square charge above average for the atmosphere — a fair trade if you want dinner under live jazz. Coffee and dessert are the reasonable play.
